Re: Greatest finding in Switzerland

The Betty Bossi sandwiches at Coop. Yummy. Also, discovering they have root beer there too, because I got a MAJOR root beer float craving during this pregnancy. And finally, the alcohol free version of Feldschlosschen. I didn't even really care for the regular version of it when we moved here and hadn't really found a particular beer I liked (I heard that Coop sells Newcastle Brown Ale which is my favorite but I've never seen it at the Coop in our town) but my hubby bought me a pack when his parents came to visit so that I could "drink" with them while we grilled and as it turns out, it's pretty good. Or at least, for someone that hasn't had any beer or wine or anything the past 9 months, it's pretty damn good!

Re: Greatest finding in Switzerland

I was recently turned on to Panache. I don't think it's originally Swiss (I assume it's French, by the name), but I had never heard of it -- or had it -- before here. It's nice and refreshing. Yum.

Now I just have to find some good, authentic Absinthe.

Re: Greatest finding in Switzerland

Thanks! I watched a documentary about Absinthe the other day. I hadn't realized that it was (supposedly) invented here, near the French border.

Does anyone know of any Absinthe bars in or around Zurich?
