Arrived in Zurich just a couple of months ago and this was my first strip club joint visit near Zurich old-town ever since I came to Switzerland. I went on a Tuesday night with some friends and we were the only customers in the place. There were about 5 girls all from Ukraine who kept pushing us to buy a bottle of champagne for 300 CHF. Heard a lot about Zurich strip clubs,however the overall atmosphere, ambiance didn't seem to be good enough and the girls were not attractive either...

Anyways some of us went with the girls for a glass of champagne, and then something really surprised me. The other lady with my friend immediately proposed him to go out "elsewhere" but the one with me told there is always a high HIV risk involved in this trade and thus she can provide me company in the club as opposed to going for a "out the club settlement". While asking her about regular medical check up, her reply was not convincing too. Also the lady at the counter did the card swipe in secretly and not in front of us.
We could smell a rat and didn't find the whole thing comfortable at all and decided to leave the place early.

Question to all EF ers :

How safe are the strip clubs here in terms of sexual disease transmission / credit card fraudulence?

Is there any Swiss Law that the strip club workers must undergo a medical test on a regular basis because as I know intentional or deliberate or wilful HIV transmission, is considered the most serious form of criminal transmission ?

If you bang around how are you ever going to tell who it was who gave you whatever it is you get? Safe in this case is a universal thing. Like the other poster says, wear a condom & everything will be OK.

I think the problem with the situation you describe is your lack of knowledge on what a strip club is, there are places like 'The Globe' in Zurich where you pay 80CHF on the door with unlimited drinks & to get BJ'd & pop you cork will cost you 130CHF per half hour. These type of places are referred to as nightclubs & have all sorts of girls from many nations & ethnic backgrounds.

Using a credit card is OK if they are those hand held things which most are...

...anyway, personally if I was looking for what you lads are I'd go to Prague, you get a whole lot more for your money.
