Getting shoes polished?

Hello everyone!

I used to live in NYC, where I could get my shoes polished semi-professionally for like 5$. Now, I certainly don't have similar price expectations, but is there a similar service even available in Zurich?

I work near Sihlcity, and it would be great to have super polished shoes! Alternately, where could I buy a shoe brush (horsehair)? So far, Coop and Migros have not had them.

Danke!

PitBull has no particular reputation at present
Re: Getting shoes polished?

Have seen it at the airport occasionally - terminal A after the check-in gates. Ideal if flying, but otherwise...

Re: Getting shoes polished?

All the shops have shoe polish kits but dont expect them to look like a brush its more like a bottle with a lid and a soft sponge on the top.

How much are you willing to pay? I know someone who'll do a smooth job for CHF25 a pair, including pick up and same day return. Minimum four pairs.

You know 'someone'? For that price I'd gladly offer such a service myself. Five minutes a pair, makes it 300 per hour, which is livable.

Now, how many victims#Wcustomers can we get, do you think?

(On an aside, how do people format their text with a strikethrough in it?)

Go to a cobbler shop and they will sell you all you need. And perhaps offer the service! (but honestly, it's not that difficult to do your own).

Thanks - I found a shoe brush in the Sihlcity mall.

Unfortunately, 25CHF a pair is pretty expensive! However, if YOU want shoes polished, I could do them for 20CHF a pair
