| | | anarchist meeting in the Jura
I heard on the radio last night while driving home, and again this morning that there is an anarchist meeting, with up to 3000 of the lazy worthless buggers , going on up in the Jura this week.
and I got to thinking...
how do anarchists call a meeting to order? | | The following 11 users would like to thank grynch for this useful post: | abi_bouw, cheesey, crazygringo, J.Marple, JamesAG, meloncollie, Sandgrounder, Sbrinz, ThomasT, Tonino, Zuger |

You think too much Grynch. I suppose some anarchists are lazy and worthless, and are not opposed to everything.

Taken from Wikipedia:
Quote
The German philosopher Immanuel Kant treated "Anarchy" in his Anthropology from a Pragmatic Point of View as consisting of "Law and Freedom without Force". Thus, for Kant, anarchy falls short of being a true civil state because the law is only an "empty recommendation" if force is not included to make this law efficacious. For there to be such a state, force must be included while law and freedom are maintained, a state which Kant calls republic. [49][50]
As summary Kant named these four kinds of government: A Law And Freedom without Violence (Anarchy)
B Law And Violence without Freedom (Despotism)
C Violence without Freedom And Law (Barbarism)
D Violence with Freedom And Law (Republic)
Unquote
Interesting stuff.

My dear Sir,
You got confused between anarchy and anomie.. Anarchy means no rulers in Greek and not no rules... Anomie means lack of norms or rules.. So kindly read upon the topic before making any comments.
Yours truly,
An anarchist.

Now I understand why you have a Bipolar transistor when the whole world is working with MOSFETs... Good..We should probably go to the era of vacuum tubes and triodes.

But if there are no rulers, who makes and enforces the rules?

I caught the late train from Nyon on Tuesday night and ended up with 4 of these "anarchists".
They were travelling from the UK up to St Imier and we were all in a panic as we had to change at Lausanne to get the connection and the train was late.
What a lovely lot of guys - a father and his son and 2 friends - we had a great time together.
(Got the next train with a drunk woman dressed as Catwoman holding a kitten by the scruff but that is another story )

Judging by the description on the official website, this might actually be worth going to, even just for the sake of curiosity : | Quote: | | | | The anarchist gathering in St-Imier in 2012 will be an opportunity to review the history of the anarchist movement, its ideas, its achievements, its hopes, its defeats, and what remains today; its own battles and those it shares with others: anti-militarism, anti-racism, anti-sexism, autonomous self-management, degrowth, education, feminism, internationalism, non-violence, etc.. A number of workshops and events are already planned: historical lectures, thematic conferences, theater, concerts, exhibitions, films, a book fair, a radio station, a libertarian camp, a self-managed market with organic products, workshops, restaurants, etc.. | | | | | Can't do any bad in a country run by the SVP/UDC | |
