That's my logic too.
People back at home in Canada are willing to pay $2 for a bottle of Evian. Yet, it pretty much flows out of the tap here!

But if I need my bubble fix, I just buy the cheapest Denner branded water.

Tap water for me too. Tastes good and a lot cheaper than the bottled stuff.

Ditto. I bought one glass bottle (1L) that I refill, and then chill in the fridge. Very nice.

Anyone who buys 'mineral' water in Switzeralnd earns too much.

When I was into bubbles, Henniez was what I preferred.

We have a Soda Club machine for bubbles.

"SodaStream" . REplaced my 20-y-o one recently, when I saw new ones on Aktion in Migros for half price, at chf49. I see now that that's the cost just for a new gas cartridge, so it was a good deal

I see it more as refusing to finance a fraudulent and unnecessary industry. But each to his own I suppose.

If you think the stuff you get out of a bottle is any different from the stuff you shower in, you're sadly deluded.

Deluded probably, but disagree... ...wouldn't it cost me a huge amont to travel to all these places to savour the water than just buy it in a bottle?

I lived for a while in Buxton in the UK (famous for its spring water) then moved to Zurich. No problems with tap water at all .

There's no reason to buy bottled water here even when you are out and about because there are so many drinking fountains.

Don't know if it's an urban myth or not but I heard that whereas water treatment facilities are subject to constant monitoring, bottled water plants are only inspected once or twice a year (or sumfin).

I hardly ever buy mineral water but when I do, I buy Valais's "Drink Pure". I mean, just look at the bottom of the bottle...

We love bubbles! The best/cheapest/most minerals/closest for us: Denner's own brand from Bernese Alps 1.5l @ CHF 0.50.

I think we can just about spare that amount, it's the carrying that's a bummer.

Tap water's fine as alternative, but I wouldn't want a Soda Stream machine in my kitchen.
