if not- can anyone recommend a good place for a men's haircut in Zurich and/or Zug? and reasonably priced (good luck with that, right)

I asked in the place in Sihl City and it was 60 francs! that seems a lot to me for a men's cut!

also, please add if your recommended place requires an appointment

There is one on BACKERSTRASSE, very close to the Helvetiaplatz. I cant remember the actuall name of the place but ifyou enter Backerstrase from the Helvetiaplatz end, it is on the left hand side around 50 metres down. They charged me around 35 chf . . . which for Swizzerland . . . is not bad.
Oh . . and no appt was required.

I have not read them, so no idea how useful they will be.

39 CHF at the one in the station in Zug - no appointment needed, and it even seems to be open on Sundays (shock horror).

you can try Gidor chain, you can find it in zurich, cost is 40.50 for men, also curious to know about tips after haircut, how much to give ? or its ok to not give ?

which one is that? The one names Carlo.. something Ive had to make an appointment. Sometimes they'll take me straight away, others I have to make an appointment.

Not sure of the name (which shows how much attention I pay to where I get my hair cut...), it's on the right as you go out towards Metalli.

I have been using the one at Zug station for five years. I say 'the one' but I have rarely had my hair cut twice by the same woman (I was going to write person, but I have never seen a male haircutter there - ever).

I work nearby, so what I value is that I can phone for an appointment at short notice, like "can I come in 15 minutes?" and there is about a 50% chance of getting a 'yes'.

They are very fast - 15-20 minutes, the price hasn't moved in 5 years -39fr - and I also still gîve the same 5fr tip

This is a topic very dear to me since I've been looking for 1 year before I've found one with good quality/price (32CHF) at Poststrasse,Zug.

There is one on Josefstrasse close to Zurich HB.
5 min walks may be from HB.
28 CHF without hair wash and 33 with hair wash.
No appointment. And some of the workers there understand english.

Value for money for sure. Never had a bad experience.

Im sure its the same place. I agree with the other poster Im about 50/50 if I can get straight in or make an appointment.

There are 3 hairdressers in Sil City.
You probably checked the one on the ground floor.
There is also Gidor on the 1st floor. They ask about 40 CHF.

Look for a Turkish barber, there are 2 in Bern and 1 in Solothurn. They charge about CHF 23 and take about 25 minutes.

My hubby needs a haircut do you know a good barber/men's hairdresser closer to Zurich Enge/Thalwil area?

The cheaperst one I have seen is on Josesfstrasse, (off of Langstarsse) next to National car rental. I have seen signs of 25CHF in the store but I have not gotten hair cut there yet.
