| Hi All
This may have been asked before but I'm new and shocked by prices here. | |

It varies, but if you don't have time/energy/transportation to shop at the various different stores, i.e. Denner, Lidl, or go across the border for reasonably priced food, detergents, meat, and so on, you can spend quite a bit on food. I was spending about 200CHF per week for myself and my husband, not including wine, and that's with my daughter eating lunch at school, and my husband getting breakfast, lunch and dinner at work which left very little in the way of food requirements so it's not as simple as comparing like to like as everyone has a slightly different array of variables that can influence the number quite a bit. If you're alone and very frugal, you might do on 100CHF/week but that might be optimistic or pessimistic depending on how much you like to eat ramen noodles.
