I need to buy a Dive Computer or Diving Computer (which I think is fancy watch?) for my girlfriend for Xmas. Does anyone know where I might be able to pick one up in Zurich?

This place is good and they were just having a total liquidation of some of their items (including such computers), but I am not sure it is still going on. You could try to call.

Normally I would suggest www.bluedivers.ch for that, but they are actually closed (so that they can re-open and launch). It kind of depends which part of Zurich you are in.

Expect to spend around 400-500 minimum for a dedicated diving computer. If you want to buy something which is a watch *and* a diving computer, expect to spend more. I'm not a big fan of combined watches / diving computers, especially for people who hardly ever dive, but that's just my own personal opinion.

Most stores, *should* have them in stock, but you may want to do your research beforehand.

@Stephanwolf - looks like you suggested the same place. I can confirm that they are pretty much closed at the moment. I think there may be some days left of their liquidation, but they were pretty much selling everything at reduced prices - but it was a cash only, can't call in advance, turn up and take it or leave it kind of thing.

I was visiting the owner last week and can confirm that shop was pretty much gutted, getting ready to be rebuilt for the relaunch.

Yeah I got some great deals there and even though it had been going on for a while, there was still alot of stuff around, but that was two weeks ago. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

An old thread, but could be helpful.

Go to Kalkbrite station (Tram 2 and 3 line)
Take the Bus 32 back a stop or two and there is a dive shop next to the Germinder place
(I'll quickly search for a google maps site to post for you)

Decent shop, and helpful staff.

Google maps doesn't show the shop for some reason (old pic I guess) but I was there earlier this year.

As I said, take the tram 2 or 3 to kalkbreite stop. Take the bus 32 (or walk) along Kalbreitestrasse until you get to Sihlfeldstrasse, it's just about 20m round the corner.
