Hey guys I just started a new Blog on "Living in Switzerland"
My aim is to help those who are looking into moving to Switzerland, as well as to aid people who are already in Switzerland but still need help.
I will be updating the blog daily and I will do some Vlogging as well.
Please feel free to leave any feedback in the tumblr or here
First of all, Frauenfeld is not right next to the German border.
Why is there a need to have another separate blog for "living in switzerland"? Why can't those curious ones come straight to this forum and get opinions/feedback on living in *various* different parts of switzerland?
Good luck with your blog.....

Yeah, how dare you try to do something new and have the audacity to tell people about it.
Ignore negative people like the previous poster, and actual good luck with your blog.

It's 12-14 km from the German border - so probably about 7km as the crow flies.
Figuratively speaking, that is right next to the German border, you bloody pedant.

the purpose of the English Forum is to provide a safe haven for local Swiss and near-Swiss to mock native English speakers who have the unmitigated gall to be confused about life in Switzerland. or Swiss, as the case may be.

@leafy: "probably 7 km..."? have you ever tired getting to a german border by foot/bicycle/car/public transport from Frauenfeld, mate? I'm guessing you did not even look up my location on the forum..... The point was that the blog should have some reasonable information. I don't know about you, but I consider "7 km as the crow flies" through the farms and fields in the in TG to be a terrain to be challenged.....
I can only guess that you spend a lot of time in sales and marketing . . . and never really spent much time in kanton TG.
@carrie F: If I were to dignify your response with an answer, it would be akin to biting the dog back.....
@all: Google search on "living in switzerland" brings up so many hits, including pages from admin.ch and englishforum pages on the first page....
The OP asked for help but never clarified reasoning behind yet another blog about living in ch. What is the justification and value behind another blog, storage, CPU time, electricity, request for human hours to support yet another blog, etc. etc. This blog is nothing new, but a rehash of things already available.....
I think I was justified in pointing out details in the blog and asking those questions... and flames were not warrented .....

You're right, this new blog is going to fill up the Internet to capacity, there will be no more room for your enlightening posts. I was going to write a diary about my time in Switzerland but i don't want to contribute towards deforestation. Only purely original thoughts only from now on - unless you are the new Einstein or a Nobel laureate stop wasting our time.
The reason why I didn't make the Blog here is what I said before, I think Tumblr is a better option than these forums for my blog, specially for my friends and family members who aren't familiar with the Blog at all, that is all.
Nothing against the forum, don't take me wrong, I love this forum so far, there is a couple of bitchy people, but the grand majority are pretty helpful individuals
