English-speaking community in Zofingen? vs. Fahrwangen?

My husband has a new job in Oftringen, and we are looking at places to live in surrounding areas. Zofingen is very intriguing for its historic charm and proximity to Oftringen, plus housing seems affordable. But, moving from Geneva with its big international community, I'm worried about feeling isolated and would like to understand to what extent an English speaking community exists in Zofingen. We have 2 small children if that makes a difference...

The other area that got our attention was Fahrwangen (on the Hallwilersee in Aargau). Its appeal for us is that it's on the lake with splendid views and nature and seems sunny and warm relative to Zofingen (is it possible there's a big climate difference?). Housing prices seem higher but are still within our range.

I'd appreciate any insight about these areas and/or thoughts about other areas we should consider. Thanks for any help!
