Hi - just wondering if there are any other Mums/Expats living in or around Birmensdorf who would be interested in meeting up? I've been living here for 2 years now and have a 1 year old son and would like to meet expats locally. There was a play group but seems that it's been discontinued. Am sure I can't be the only Brit of Birms!

I love Birmy too. That's why I can't understand why there aren't more expats!! More bang for your buck than ZH central but still really close to commute. Hoping more little businesses are going to spring up, especially now we've got the cafe. What's not to like?!

A very slow progress I'm afraid. My wife has lived in the area since she was about 2 or so.

I quite like it being so small and limited in the number of shops. Gives me an excuse to head into the city. Like today for example. I'm off work due to too much snow on the building site so I killed half the day cruising round the city, dropped in to visit the Swiss Miss with some flowers then back to my quiet comfort in downtown Birmensdorf...

Well if you're keen for a coffee some time, let me know...

Sorry for the delayed response - have been back in the UK. Coffee sometime would be great. Do you and your wife have kids?

Do you know other expats here? I often hear English at the Badi but don't know if they live here or travel in from elsewhere. It's such a great pool.
