Re: Any other avid gamers out there?

Here it goes my "addiction":

As a car racing fan, mostly I use racing simulators.

- What platform(s) do you use? PC, PS3
- What kinda of game-genres do you like most? SimRacing
- What game-genres can you absolutely not stand? None(?)
- What games are you currently playing? iRacing, Assetto Corsa

I am a fan of the racing games as well. Played quite a bit of Dirt back home, but without a good wheel and pedals, it's not the same.

That being said, I have been addicted to Real Racing 3 for the phone. Stunning Graphics (for a phone), good controls, oddly satisfying. Although the pay-per-play style is kinda lame, I am yet to spend any money on it and approaching 300 hours of play.

Re: Any other avid gamers out there?

I'm currently waiting for Skyrim 'The Legendary Edition' to go on sale on Steam. Considering that the MMO just launched, this could be hitting the store anytime soon... (Haven't played any Skyrim stuff, but have decided, after many suggestions to do so, to play the Singleplayer content first).

Other than that, I'm playing a lot RoS (Reaper of Souls) the Diablo III Extension that just launched a few days ago. It's fun and I'm all hot for the fact that they finally turned off that stupid auction house (it's been a big thorn in my eyes since D3 came out!). Finally back to Fair Play!

Waiting impatiently for: Mario Kart for the WiiU, Smash Bros for the WiiU, Watch Dogs for the PC and coming very soon: Child Of Light, which I'll also play on the PC!

For extra shits and giggles, I've been suggested to try "Goat Simulator", but it looks too silly to spend money on it for me so far

Re: Any other avid gamers out there?

Hi guys,
There seem to be not so many iOS-gamers here...

- What platform(s) do you use?
iOS, PC

- What kinda of game-genres do you like most?
On iOS I play almost exclusively platformers/puzzles from Donut Games (Rat on The Run, Cat Physics, Sunday Lawn, Jailhouse Jack, Mexiball to name a few). I like playing them cause the scoring is fair and all the cheat scores are getting wiped out by developers (unlike ABirds or alike). So that helps a lot and motivates to enter top5 - top20
On PC I am an absolute fan of CS1.6, CSS and will be one day CS:GO if my hardware permits. So far I can't even play CSS—it feels like turn-based strategy rather than action game lol

- What game-genres can you absolutely not stand?
Stupid games where you just move things around or grow plants

- What games are you currently playing?
Almost none, because it is my final year of PhD. But from time to time I like revisiting Donut Games and gaining additional points here and there.

If there are other Donut Games fan, let's stay in touch! I have all the per-level high scores for almost all their games

Skyrim, Dragon Age and Sims in the same sentance Even WoW is a step down. That hurts soo much

Just kidding, enjoy whatever games you enjoy

I'm not one to talk, still haven't finished Skyrim or even started the expansions, I am back logged from 2010. New: Crysis', Borderlands, FarCrys, Mass Effects, Batmans, but I think I'm going to have to try out Bioshock infinity first.

That being said, I spend all my time playing 2048 at the moment

Re: Any other avid gamers out there?

Sorry to hijack

I've had a look at other threads for recommendations of online sellers of decently priced mid-range computers. ie mid-high range graphics, at least a small SST drive, c700-800 CHF.

Best value for money I've been able to find is not on digitech for a change but here

http://www.computeruniverse.net/en/p...nce-6127at.asp

Other than Dell, Digitech, are there any other shops in CH or DE with a good range or maybe with more build options that you would recommend?

What platform(s) do you use?
PC and tablet
Used to share a Wii with my flatmate, but didn't think it was interesting enough to buy one for myself. It can be fun to play with friends though.

What kinda of game-genres do you like most?
Adventures, FPS, Horror/Survival
On the tablet I mostly play word games.

What game-genres can you absolutely not stand?
Nothing really, but there are not many games out there that will be able to hold my interest for very long.

What games are you currently playing?
I'm almost too embarrassed to admit that I'm totally hooked on Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. Really old game, have been playing it forever already. I like it because gameplay is really simple, but still interesting. Plus the community is pretty old, because it's such an old game.
I'm pretty good at it too. I love it when some guy starts ranting and I get to tell him he just got his ass kicked by a woman.

I love point-n-click adventures! That's how I got into gaming in the first place. Monkey Island, King's Quest, Loom. Not too many of new ones that are that good though. Or maybe I have higher standards now?
I do like how they remaster these some old games for tablets. I think adventure gaming is making a come back.

If you're interested, check out: http://adventuregamers.com/
That's epic, I used to be a big fan of that game ! one of the best FPS ever

Don't know about shops like that I build the PC myself, always better.. but if you can't do that, then yea try to find a good retailer and I can help you choose, can contact me by PM if you want, feel free.

Would you be against building your own? It's cheapest that way, and virtually fool proof, just takes some time... it'd be trivial to build out a system for you given a budget.

And for me:
- What platform(s) do you use? PC

- What kinda of game-genres do you like most? ARTS, FPS, RTS, Action, Adventure

- What game-genres can you absolutely not stand? Card games

- What games are you currently playing? dota2, csgo, banished

Building your own pc is always better but if you have no clue how to do it, it might be hard, plus if you break something it's most likely gonna void warranty.

Okay, I must admit that I'm a big gamer. But the games I like are probably kidstuff to some of you.

I love Nintendo above all.

I own Nintendo 3DS and Wii. I wish to own the new Wii U soon.

My favorite games are Mario Kart and all other Mario games and of course, other Nintendo games.

What about you? I hope I can meet others gamers here too.

Cheers,
itendarjuan
Nintendo is the best thing ever created!!! Mario kart is a classic, my favorite is turtles in time (ninja turtles) or batman! If you get a wii get the new mario 3D world it's beyond addicting. If your into ps3/4 at all grand theft auto is always fun and if your into waking dead zombies the of us is amazing or FIFA can never go wrong there. I recently got back into my gameboy (Mario, donkey kong, Pokemon) I carry mine everywhere in my purse now lol
