Wanted to know if anyone knows what good to do or where to go in lausanne for new years?

Are there fireworks etc?

I have never lived in Lausanne, but there will be crowds of people down at the lakeside in Ouchy, Lausanne.

They illuminate the cathedral too for the new year. It's very nice to see, and there's usually quite a crowd around there, drinking mulled wine and champagne.

There is a thriving British Residents' Association in the area. We are not members as we do not actually live in CH but know many who are.
