Lost wallet and camcorder in Interlaken-X-Mas day

Hi everyone, my wife lost her wallet in Interlaken today...I know this is a long shot, but if anyone found it,or knows where I can ask about it, please PM me...it has her name engraved on it (inititals KK) and has important cards/pictures etc. Its a burgundy colour, and more like an oblong clutch type. All the credit cards etc have been cancelled already, but she had her Aussie license etc in it as well. We tried getting in touch with the police but the station is closed until Wed.Thanks a lot.

Re: Lost wallet in Interlaken-X-Mas day

Sorry to hear about this.... losing your wallet is a major complication. Mine was stollen one year ago, and was struggling with it for a few months....

You will have to go to the police to report your missing permits and licences. Otherwise, you won't be able to get copies. Would recommend to call the lost and founds at the SBB and post office (sometimes people just drop stuff in the mail boxes). At least this was what i was told....

Best of luck,

Lucy.

Re: Lost wallet in Interlaken-X-Mas day

Hi, I have lost my video camcorder today (29.06.2008) in Neuhause (near Interlaken West railway station). When I went back to the same place it was lost, one person told me, it was found by a lady who asked him where to give this found camcorder. This person suggested to give in nearby restaurants. I enquired in all the restaurants, it was not there.

I have no name, address or any identification on the camcorder. If this lady plans to deposit it to some police station, how can contact police station. Where else she can submit it???

Now I am in London. Pls. suggest me what to do?

Pankaj

Re: Lost wallet in Interlaken-X-Mas day

well with any luck the lady did not follow that guys advise (why bring lost property to a restaurant ?)and brought it to the train station - if thats the case try here http://mct.sbb.ch/mct/en/reisemarkt/...ustanzeige.htm

don't think you got much attention from the people on this board by replying to a real old post , maybe should have started your own thread.

Re: Lost wallet in Interlaken-X-Mas day

Hi,

Thanks for your response. You are absolutely right, she did right she didn't give it to nearby hotel or restaurants but I don't know if she will return it to Interlaken police. I could not report the loss to police yesterday. I have sent couple of emails to Interlaken police but have not got any response from them yet.

I will start a new thread. Thanks for suggestion.

Claim on your travel insurance, this is the very reason you pay for it.

FundBüro means 'found office'. A bit more of a positive spin than 'Lost Property Office'. The website is in German, Franch and Italian, clearly English-speakers are not supposed to lose things.

However, I'm sure if you contact them in English with as much detail as possible, you will get an answer...

Well - I guess that's a case where it is painfully obvious that an English version is needed.... Now where was that thread again....

FundBüro (lost property) is normally located at the local Gemeindhause (Goverment building)

Fundbuero is an online version of a lost and found. Sorry, but there isn't an English version. Perhaps you can find a German speaker to help you navigate the site. Good luck to you!

Lost SONY Handycam/Camcorder in Interlaken

Hi, I live in London. I visited Interlaken I forgot my SONY video camcorder on 29.06.2008 by Thunersee lake, Neuhause (near Interlaken West railway station). When I went back to the same place it was lost, one person told me, it was found by a lady who asked him where to give this found camcorder. This person suggested to give in nearby restaurants. Please contact me at pankajsahu@gmail.com or +(44)7767801907 if found the camcorder. I can tell what was shooted in the MiniDV cassette.
