Short answer... There really aren't any. Mexican is a type of cuisine that I have found to be seriously lacking here. Everything is very blandly seasoned, and if you like the food spicy, prepare to be doubly disappointed...

They do sell a mild, shredded yellow cheese that's the closest thing to longhorn cheddar i've tasted. They also sell quesadilla cheese, very mild.
I was just there to buy my regular fix of fresh poblanos. Mmmmmmm.

I think the Fajitas at Desperados are great - especially the mixed beef and chicken. Good mix of accompaniments, quality meat and I love the vegetables the fajitas are served on the sizzling plate with. The Höngg branch is probably my favourite.

Right around the corner from El Mais (already discussed above) is El Luchador, a cafe where the food (and beer) is truly authentic Mexican fare, even if the menu isn't huge. If you visit El Mais, they can direct you to El Luchador.

I find they hold up better than tortilla chips for this, because they're thicker. I'd prefer Fritos Scoops, but since I can't even find Fritos, I don't even dare ask.

To sum it up,
- Unnamed rest station somewhere in Italy between the border and La Spezia about 3 years ago
- Don't remember the name
- Don't remember anything about the packaging
- Tasted exactly like Fritos
I hope this helps you on your search. | | The following 4 users would like to thank Principia Discordia for this useful post:

The cooking in Tres Amigos http://www.tresamigos.ch/ is quite good, and in case you need it, they provide additional spices. I was in Mexican restaurants in Atlanta, Texas and Matomoros (Northern Mexico) and so got a tiny bit of an idea. True, the Mexican restaurants in Zürich may not exactly be what a Mexican would regard as a REAL Mexican restaurant. There is a kind of "Mexican" restaurant in Glattbrugg, and the Kosovari who do business there have a remarkable cuisine, but it rather is a "Mexico-inspired Balkan cuisine" | | This user would like to thank Wollishofener for this useful post:

It's 20min away from the main station and you usually don't need to have a reservation if you're less or equals 4 people.
