Iron Pig II is fueled and oiled up, come post Morgenstraich and I am so blowing dodge.

I think if I lived deeper down in the action I'd get out too, but since it is relatively quiet for me, it's not so bad. |

Its our first one here, Slammer, and - as you know - we couldn't really be closer to the heart of the action!
Should be an interesting three days |

Actually, apart from a slight shock at 4am this morning, its pretty cool being right in the heart of the action - lovely sunny day here, every now and again a band walking past the front of the house....and the debris of last night's party makes Basel look like every other European capital city - quite nice to belong to real life again for a few days

I went down to Barfi then up to Spalenberg, but in the end the crowd got a bit too much.

And I managed to see the end of it at about 6am

HAHAHA I could hear the drums all the way to Brausebad. Lightly at 3:45am when they were warming up I'm guessing and then again when I laid my head down to sleep at 8PM. I too would have to either leave the downtown area or wear ear protection as I suffer from Tinnitus. I carry ear plugs for these types of events just in case.

Someone just sent me a clip about an hour ago, seems to be still going strong.
And I can adjust the volume accordingly, and not get trampled in the crowds.

I passed a very enjoyable day Tuesday, watching the Gugge musik groups as I came upon ones stopped to play, then hanging out to enjoy the concert.
Alas, my pleasure has come at a steep price, my feet and ankles are STILL hurting from being on them so long in the wrong shoes. |

Ha! Nice one, it's a Basel thing, either you love the carnival or you hate it.
I hate it...!
Now do me a favor and let this run with VLC or similar, need to unzip first, turn it up loud, put it on loop and listen to it for three days and nights.
Then if you are still coherent get back to us.. |
