Uuuhm...Strange question, but I'll bite.
Becuase I don't want to leave him on his own for long periods and because I like doing things with my dog.
Then take him for a nice long walk in the countryside instead. Presumably you leave him to go to work all day so what's the difference? Maybe you come home at lunchtime from work, but geeze, believe me he'll survive the occasional day of being left home alone.

Does anyone know if you can take a small dog into the show? Also, I have a ticket to get into the BMW lounge. Anyone experienced that before?

Why would you want to take your dog there in the first place?

Agreed. I went last year, and the environment really wasn't "dog-friendly." Further, I don't recall seeing anyone else with dogs in the venue (can't say if this means they were prohibited; I didn't look).

If you want to do something with your dog, this really isn't it.

One advantage of bringing a nice dog would be that could could help you to get chatting to some of the hostesses.

If you go during the week, there are not so many people, you could bring a dog then. At the weekend it is too crowded.

Aside from the chatting-up of the cute car girls, I still wouldn't recommend a small dog, because there are just too many distracted people walking about, eyes on the cars (or the girls) and not on where their feet are going... A lot of potential for getting a paw (or worse ) stepped on.
