I work in Basel and would like to get this card but as i dont live in basel it is not possible. my question is can i use someone else card who lives in Basel near where i work? or is it only for cars registered in Basel canton?

From what I've seen, you need to be resident in the appropriate PLZ and the car registered to you.

The permits are not transferrable - the plate number is on the permit.

Parking cards for commuters don't yet exist in Basel, but they are coming later this year.
