Re: Thermal bath Zurich

Well I can't imagine they have cameras in the showers. Invasion of privacy thing you know.

the roof top pool is lovely, the views are stunning, and worth the visit alone

my wife stumbled across a couple having sex in one of the showers but there are now cameras installed in every nook and cranny so this problem may now be resolved

the water tends to have a slightly higher chlorine content than other spas

the entry fee is on the high side

the cafe is very nice with a good selection of non standard food and drinks

it can get very busy so avoid peak times, if you can

it has the look and feel of a private spa even though its open to all

I dont get that. The brat wanted your dessert? And you said no? Where were the parents? Looking at their "little angel making friends"
I quote "no darling, that's the lady's dessert, shall we get one for you so you can have your own? *I WANT THAT ONE, NOW!* "No sweetie, that is the lady's, how about you come downstairs with me and we'll pick you something else, ok, darling?". All this in an ingratiating tone of voice and never once with a "sorry for the bother, she's being very difficult", instead the kid got to go to the dessert buffet and got a plate full of desserts. My father would have walked straight out if I'd done that...

So, these cameras in the shower, are they for real?

Spoke too soon. Now it does not work. Hope the bath is not like their homepage!!
Strange. Right now, with Firefox, the access is perfect. Maybe, your computer does not like to get wet

A no go with this homepage. Maybe one can judge the place from the homepage.

Re: Thermal bath Zurich

Cameras everywhere? That's a full time job for someone to be watching.

The entry price in Zurich is almost double that in Bad Zurzach or Bad Schinznach

http://www.badzurzach.info/d/wellness/preise.php

http://www.bad-schinznach.ch/de/term...na-fun/preise/

If you want to avoid kids altogether, look at the Friday evening "moonlight" specials.

Certainly better value for the money in Bad Zurzach or Bad Schinznach

Re: Thermal bath Zurich

Went to the bath again and did the full " irish" ritual. The sauna at 45 degrees was hell. That was a long ten minutes. The roof top was great-full sunshine

Re: Thermal bath Zurich

Hi Guys,

Been a few times to the SPA. Our offices are located right next to it. It's a beautiful SPA, very atmospheric, clean, and welcoming. The prices (as mentioned before on here) are fairly high, but other Swiss baths I know charge this for a half a day entrance!

Besides, once you're done with a whole day in the SPA, you'll agree that the 32.- was worth the money for the hours spent in there.

I haven't tried any of the extra add-on packages such as Irisch-Römisch and massage offers, but if they are as lush as the rest in the SPA, then it's probably worth it's money as well. I haven't looked at the prices, but would think that after paying the entrance fee, you'd get the massages cheaper than if you just get a massage on it's own!?

The non-plus-ultra in the SPA that used to be a beer brewery (and still has a lot of it's original architecture) remains the lift that takes you to the rooftop terrace, where you can bath outdoor in hot water, so that even in deepest coldest winter days/evenings, you can relax and chill while it snows...

Oh and I almost forgot about my favourite in the SPA, which is a rather shallow pool - called the "Emerald Spa", that has underwater music!!! Really cool!!!

Re: Thermal bath Zurich

As a newcomer there its a bit confusing what the irish ritual involves. I found also that the absence of the light of day ( except on the roof) is a negative feature of the place. Plus the cafe area is a complete desolate cold area! Plasticky and uninviting!
