Ground Hog Day Effect (De Ja Voodoo)

Does anyone else, during their regular commute or other routine, find this place so precise that De Ja Vu occurs almost daily, and you feel like your in Ground Hog Day?

Recently, 4 days in a row, I was walking home from the train station and I noticed the same car, pausing at the same stop sign travelling in the opposite direction. And other things as well.

Its freakin' me out...

No, but I have been drinking rather a lot of coffee...

I also get it going TO the train as well. Same cars coming down the street, same bicycles.....everyone just seems to leave for work at the exact same minute.

Worst that the 'Groundhog Day Effect' is the the 'Swiss Groundhog Year Effect'. As the years go by you find yourself reliving the same months over and over, with events, hoilidays and celebrations repeating themselves on an annual basis.

It's mid October and half the neighbours are on holiday again and the other half have their kids home screaming all day - again...

STOP IT

There used to be graffito on a wall at the end of the A1, coming into London, which said in large, white letters:

Why do you do this everyday?

Perhaps you could save up for a MP3 player and whistle on your walk? Anything to distract the crushing pain of existence. BTW, do you wake up next to Andi McDowell?

Live a little, break the mould and take the next train, it will open up a whole new scene on your walk home

And imagine this: 4 days in a row; driving your car you approach a stop sign and when you look around you find the very same stranger staring at you. Every single day.

Oh boy, it really is freaky...

Re: Ground Hog Day Effect (De Ja Voodoo)

Yep - it happens to me. Every day when I wake up and look at the forum there are more messages than I seem able to read.

But seriously, if you live in a small town, you are going to see the same people and things over and over...
