Re: Weather!

We have installed 3 x 1000 litre containers at the side of the house (which we can't see from front) and bought an electric water pump- as we have a large expanse of roof- we can fill them quite quickly with any downpour and then can pump water out via hose to the whole garden for free- which is great with the cost of water as is. Hurrah.

Re: Weather!

It's been great, sunny and warm- turned really dark at 2pm and downpour- still chucking it down- but not too much wind yet (in the Far West here, near French border).

Still warm and dry here in Zürich, but the clouds are slowly getting darker. Time to bring the sunlounger indoors...

Don't know if it's connected but I've got the biggest thumping, throbbing headache ever and I can't score any paracetamol in the office.

It's still lovely and sunny and warm here but OH says it's chucking it down at the other end of the tunnel where he is.

Still grey, but rain and wind have stopped now. Has it hit you yet BM?

I bought a large hibiscus the other day, full of buds ready to flower- I daren't go out and have a look at it (:

You need more rain to wash it off joking aside, I hope you'll be able to clean it without too much hassle

If it's still alive, it'll be beautiful after this huge gulp of nature's shower when the sun returns

The sky went from blue to black here...we'll wait and see what happens...

Nothing here yet, looking at the radar images it seems as though it's going to bypass us.

Some rain would be nice though to water the plants I bought earlier.

Not BM, but the rain hasn't arrived here yet. Put all the kids' toys, chairs, umbrella, etc in our garage. Wish we could do the same with the big trampoline! As much as our kids love this thing I worry that I might watch it flying through our neighborhood one day!

This is one of the things I love about Switzerland! Amazed that the weather can be so different for my husband working in Lachen to the rest of us here in Inwil!
