I'm a danish graphic design student, living in Basel(I just got here)

Right now I am desperately looking for a cheap bike. Some classmates of mine told me about a secondhand bike-sale. Also i've read in a previous post on this forum, that there should be a flea-market at Petersplatz every saturday.

I thought that perhaps some of you could tell me the date, time and place of this secondhand bike-sale.
I also want to go to the flea-market to have a look there if necessary, but I'm not sure what time it starts and ends. Does anyone know.

there are lots of cheap bikes in France in the supermarkets Geant or Rond point in St Louis circa 80 euros ash

The flea market in Petersplatz is open in the mornings until around 3pm when they start clearing up (although they are still people around till gone 4). I'm not sure you will get a good selection of bikes here though.

I've never been to any bike markets (despite the fact I've been told I *must* get a bike, I have coped without!)... I think there is a bike market in Kleinbasel sometime, near the Musical Theater, no idea how often this is though, sorry!
