Hello! I went through all old posts but I still didn't manage to find the address or even name of an italian hairdresser for men in Zurich. Ideally an old style "barber".
Can anyone help me on this?
Thank you!
Lorenzo

I went last week to Figaro. Overall I liked it. 35 Fr for the cut only. Typical italian barber from the deep south of Italy. Not the right place if you are looking for a creative hair style and if you don't speak italian :-)

now a days you can always find a good deal for hairdressers, 50-70% of.
just visit dealkompass , choose your city and the category "wellness & beauty". maybe you have to zoom in and out, but usually there are good deals!

Any recommendations for the Beringen/Schaffhausen area, for a womans cut (and on occasion color)?

Used to cut buddies hair in the army. Sounds like I could get a good side job going here! High and tights or fades only for 15 CHF? Wait, that only gets me a #1 combo (without ketchup) at McDs. Sounds like RELAX is a good place to try, will post after I try it out. Thanks. This alone might make this site worth signing up.

Hi - can anyone tell me equivalent measurements here? In the UK I always had a number three on the back and sides (which was the setting on the clippers) -but here they seem to talk millimetres - anyone know what that would be in mm?
Cheers

I'm guessing a 3 is 12mm, 2 is 8 and 1 is 4mm. If you ask they'll show you. 26mm is an inch.
A good place for 25 is Tablo between bezirksgebaude and kalkbreite on the 2 and 3 trams just off the end of Langstr.
The guys are Kurds though but consistent.

Went through this whole thread earlier, as I was planning to go to Memomen around the corner. I've heard good things, it's cheap (for Zuri!) at 27.-, and they seem to have a lot of custom.
That was the problem though for me today, it was rammed, so I ventured on thinking I might check out Saleh on Josefstr... Ended up ducking into a small place opposite the Denner called Faktor 5.
The guy in there was speaking spanish I believe but somewhere between there and my broken Swiss we managed to reach an agreement on a simple short back and sides, with about half off the top. The result? Very happy with the job done!
Then there is the price. The sign outside said 25.- for a mens cut, but I was expecting that to go up once he brought the scissors out, and then some styling product at the end. However, 25.- it remained. In return they received a healthy tip and my custom from now on.
Only thing I could complain about was that he cut across the back instead of asking if I would like it natural, so if you'd rather not have that, I'd ask for it specifically.
Ok, just grabbed the card he gave me, and it's at Josefstr. 81, 8005 zurich if anyone wants to know... didn't have an appointment, I think he said making one was possible but it was definitely not required.

Anyone got any recommendations near Escher Wyss Platz? I'm actually on a course near the Digitec store in Forrlibuckstrasse. I don't know the area well, but I am also open to suggestions anywhere along the route from there to Zurich HB (tram 17).
Muchos Gracias!

no 2 = 6mm
no 3 = 9mm
no 4 = 13mm
no 5 = 16mm
no 6 = 19mm
no 7 = 22mm
no 8 = 25mm
As the clipper lengths are drived from inched it's not exact as 25.4 mm is 1 inch
