Re: The First World Problem Thread

The only time I'd eat food served on an EJ flight is a morning one with the bacon sarnies, even though the bread is too stodgy and they use ketchup instead of brown sauce

Re: The First World Problem Thread

My motorbike helmet has an forward-facing air intake on the top that I can open to get some airflow over my head on hot days. Said intake *loves* to eat insects, so I'll be buzzing along and suddenly have the sensation of something crawling over my scalp. If I had longer hair then I probably wouldn't notice and it wouldn't be a problem, but longer hair is no longer an option Because the insect invariably won't sit still and I'm constantly aware of its presence I have to stop to remove the helmet and clear out the offending hitchhiker. Fortunately it hasn't yet happened on the autoroute

Filling out the chomage forms in French armed with only B1 skill, compounding the existing work I still have to do at my standard day job, is doing my head in.

My toddler lost the Amazon Fire TV remote, so I had to download the Amazon Fire TV app and use my iPhone to control it instead.

The phones in the 5-star hotel I stayed in weren't cordless. Then I noticed there were TWO phones in the room, but none could reach the spot where I wanted to sit.

It is the forms that ask for your email address but won't allow you to type @ on any keyboard that get my goat. I have to go into my email and copy and paste one in.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Our company has just purchased a suite of compliance training videos which we now have to watch. The actors and company purport to be our own, and yet they all have American accents, are fantastically good-looking and are based in California as opposed to the more temperate climes of Basel or Zurich.

How am I supposed to take 'Insider Trading' or 'Sexism at Work' seriously when the materials are so shoddily produced??

Following England's victory over Ireland, I don't know if we've done enough to leapfrog Wales in the IRB rankings... and I don't know when they will be officially updated

(Don't care about the football...)

Maybe you should propose to your employer that to fully comply with the videos you need some plastic surgery; you could skip the accent

I remember many years ago John Cleese and his team made some great training videos.

I remember those too.

I just wondered at the business advice he was qualified to give.

That hotel he used to run down in Cornwall wasn't exactly well managed, was it? And when he tried to run a zoo, that wasn't really too succesful either.

I'm having my blood taken tomorrow for tests. I don't like seeing my blood taken and I hate needles.

For all my fellow males who are saying to me, "toughen up, princess", thanks....

When I was in Hawaii I was hit by my mate riding a surf board. That day I got to look right into my leg. Bones and all. Realy interesting. Especially when I flexed my muscles. I have a great "V" scar too.

Wimp.

The labels on packaged foods in Germany are inconsistent. Some list their fiber content, some don't.
Maybe that's why they are cheaper?

I spent half an hour troubleshooting the lack of internet on my son's iPad, only to discover that it was connected to the wifi printer all along.

THIS IS WHY KIDS SHOULDN'T HAVE IPADS

I didn't park the fun car back in the garage after I last used it - and so it is now 10 days without being driven. I've not put it on the trickle-charger so am worried the battery will have drained
