Buying Furniture in Switzerland

Hi,

Can Anyone suggest places to buy furniture around the Interlaken/Spiez/Thun areas? We are furnishing our apartment at a distance and have discovered IKEA but wondered if there was a Swiss equivalent of the better end of MFI? Are there any large homeware stores? The web seems silent! Any suggestions gratefully received!

Many thanks

Re: Buying Furniture in Switzerland

Have a look in Austria at Kika we bought some very nice furniture there, its cheaper than in Switzerland, and you can also claim tax back.

depending on your budget, there are a number of alternatives :

Micasa

Conforama

Interio

should be enough to keep you busy.

Re: Buying Furniture in Switzerland

www.interio.ch also has a section called "moebel bourse" where private parties sell used furniture. Some very good stuff there at reasonable prices. Check the German site, as there is more stuff than the Frnech site.

Good luck!
