Re: London vs Zurich

I am impressed with your words on men and I think in general Swiss men can be that way. Some English guys prefer a woman who will challenge them and stretch their boundaries. I am a healer and work with couples and individuals in UK and Switzerland on many areas including relationships. Support on both sides is so important and communication is one of the building blocks all couples should use.

I will say this too; I get where you're coming from because I used to be like you and would throw the word racist in whenever difference was brought up.
Nobody threw the word racist around because we have different opinions. The problem is that your opinion is that white people are superior to the rest. That simply is racist by definition. I can be tolerant to pretty much any opinion, but only if people are at least consistent about it. If you are a racist at least accept and embrace it instead of all the bullshit you are trying to turn it into. Only then can you have stringent arguments. "I am no racist but Europeans are simply better than Asians" is nothing but idiotic.

Guys you need to live in the political and economic present. The world is changing fast and you guys just seem outdated.
Welcome to Switzerland. If you do not like the past do I highly recommend you to choose another country to move to. It feels like the 1960s there in many ways.

I'm interested in the world today and how it got here. One of the reasons I'm single is because I spend a lot of my spare time reading books especially by non-western authors about politics and economics. It's also partially part of my job.
Yeah, blame it on the books. So far we established that everything bad in your life has been due to society, culture and of course them bloody Asians... if you think life just falls into place by itself if you move to Europe are you in for some hard surprises...

Look, let's put this into simple terms - when you asked a completely sensible question at the beginning of this thread did I think to myself: I live in her city and have lived in Zurich for seven years. I could answer all her questions on the city over a coffee if she is interested so let's see how this turns out...

And boy did it turn out! I had tons of beer in real life with people from this forum, many of which I have very interesting debates and have very different political views than I do. But if you are anything in real life like you are online are you the type of person I really rather don't have a drink with. Not just because of your racist views but hysteric arguments, simply annoying style and attention whoring. The reason you are single is neither books nor Asians: If you behave in real life anything similar to here are you simply not a keeper.

Your job and education is your strong asset but you need to focus on what you can contribute as a woman to the relationship.
A good job is an asset and important for independence.

But for a woman, I think it can also be a liability when it comes to a relationship. After all, would a woman want to go out with someone who earns less than her? And when it is time for kids, there's that much more for the woman to give up when she inevitably* has to quit her job and stay at home to look after the kids.

*ok, i'm trolling, but there is some truth to it

Re: London vs Zurich

Guys you have not read my posts. I came out here for a man. A born and bred Asian man. Izabella please do not include me in all your stereotypical bullshit about career women. You object to my so called stereotypes about Asians yet are guilty of the same. Yes I could have been pretty senior in my career now had it not been for messed up Asian culture. I compromised for nothing. So please don't feed me this rubbish about learning from Thai women. As a result of the way I see Asians conduct themselves both in their day to day life and on an international level I myself have adopted the Asian mindset. I believe in treating them exactly the same way I'm treated in their countries and I don't see how that's racist. And unless the rest of you wake up you can expect to slide into poverty in Europe the way brain washed people like you think.

Regarding my earlier post citing Thailand, you look at the GDP of Thailand it's on a par with Taiwan and the Netherlands. The problem is that you guys are just out of date. I agree with Trevarus that you all seem to be living in the 1960s. I see transactions involving assets around Asia and the world everyday. You guys are just plain ignorant of what the world really looks like.

Of course if you're a white guy it's just hard to see and experience my perspective because you have women worshipping you left right and centre. I'm not going into this again.

The west invented the modern world and capitalism as we live and experience it today. And acknowledging that is not supremacist or racist.

Dude I never said anything about white supremacy - stop putting words in my mouth; if anything I went on about Asian supremacy. I am sick and tired of being labelled racist for pointing put alternative world views to the liberal we are all equal and let's rant on and on about western colonialism and let's deny cultural differences in an increasingly economically important part of the world that are undermining respect for women. But wait it suits you since you decided to buy into it right?

Yeah you don't know me. My last (English Caucasian) boyfriend who left me earlier this year said the following to me: we have different goals. I'm very ambitious and you're not as ambitious as me so I don't think we're compatible. You're too sweet and laugh at my jokes too much without contributing. I'm not ready for a serious relationship and want to be free to enjoy Singapore."

So honestly Trevarus and Izabella f*** off.

That is uncalled for. Your posting on an Internet Forum, soliciting feedback, and when offered honest feedback you don't like, you get angry and insolent. I think you're asking for a spanking.

I love this post. Full of Eastern European gravitas, and I can almost hear an accent. Lots of flavor. Reminded me of Red from Orange is the New Black. Would you consider a change of avatar?

I also like this Sudeepta's 'Regards':

And those K-Pop girls...Wow! They look small, cute and gentle. But they are firey foxes.

In a diverse international group of individuals, these cultural characteristics are assets that broaden perspective. I see no threat in them. They extend reach. I see no ground to hold Izabella responsible for what Vladamir Putin is doing, nor can I blame Sudeepta for some perceived injustice in India. I would much rather have wide diversity and perspectives than a whole bunch of square pegs trying to fit into round holes. Diversity is what makes up an A-Team.

I think your last sentiment was uncalled for, especially as Izabela was genuinely offering sincere advice. But seeing we've dropped the diplomacy, I'll translate what this boyfriend of yours said as direct I can:

Quote:
" I was happy sleeping with you without commitment. Now you want commitment, I'd rather move on to the next girl and the next girl until I reach about the age of 40..."
I'll give you a real insider pro tip: Stick to a "5 date rule". The additional 2 dates will separate the guys who are really serious from those who just want to f**k you. This will work pretty much universally in SIN, ZRH or LDN.
