I get the sense OG led a pretty insulated life in Europe, only to have her eyes open to a rude awakening in Singapore. But shouldn't university have prepared her for that? OG, which school did you go to? We'll make sure to avoid it.
I got the feeling she's an entertaining troll...

FuriousRose I've acknowledged the limitations of these statistics as indeed statistics by their very nature have limitations. However their limitations do not prevent them from being a useful yardstick to look at the big picture. I also rely on my observations and my experiences even if they are limited to me.

I don't like however relying on so called experts as I value myself enough to draw my own conclusions.
Then you should stick your deduction to yourself. I think everyone on here will agree with me that you can have your personal preference. But that doesn't justify that you could say what you said in the post below. With all due respect, if you re-read what you said in that post below, could you really imagine yourself saying that without feeling ashamed of yourself?

Thank you for this post. The issue I'm highlighting is that western women cannot and should not get involved with non-western men. Just does not work. This is reflected in the divorce rates. And whilst some western women need to stop being career obsessed and embrace femininty, I'm asking western men to stick to western women. We are destroying our society and importing social problems from other people's cultures. To try and pretend everyone is equal is damaging to western women who led the feminist cause during the twentieth century. Whilst this may have gone too far in some cases and countries, I am pleading with western men to respect women and not lower themselves to the standards of men from some other non-western cultures.

Re: London vs Zurich

And you are doing a pretty good job at it.

But sometimes its important to pause and think if this is really what you want. Like we can argue for the sake of arguments and in the process its easy to forget if we digesting all of the information we already received.

Like many other forum members, I see many of the same culture relationship breaking (don't ask me for numbers, i don't have them) And I see many inter cultural, international relationship very successful. I believe sometimes you have to take chance and work your best to make it work.

London/Zurich, does not matter where you go, Does not matter what is the nationality of your partner, unless both of you love and respect each other, and both of you adjust a bit to accommodate the other's interest, i think it will be difficult for the relationship to last.

I'm game!

My requirements for a partner: PhD (or equivalent doctoral title from a top 10 institute), Equivalent income earning potential (or big enough nest egg so I don't have to work and can continue my lavish lifestyle), Blond healthy thick hair on the head (no body hair elsewhere), blue eyes, body shape similar to 20 year old Jessica Alba (larger breast are accepted as long as no risk of sagage), doesn't wear make up, grannie panties a no-go, exceptional cooking and cleaning abilities, good at hockey, enjoys video games, enjoys a partner with a drinking problem, not shallow, extremely funny and a child at heart, doesn't go to the gym, lazy, unmotivated and scoffs in the face of anything that requires effort, doesn't read books, snob opinion on films. Glasses are acceptable.

I think that about sums it up

Actually globalization is westernization. Otherwise what do you call Starbucks anud McDonalds? Don't worry though this era will come to an end. The Chinese unlike the Americans are not interested in convincing others to aspire to become one of them. There will be no coke and Levi jeans and the land where any Man can make it. Anyway, that's already gone in the US in any case. The Chinese are not interested in culturally converting others.
I met some Tibetans and Uighurs who would claim the opposite...

I'll give you a real insider pro tip: Stick to a "5 date rule". The additional 2 dates will separate the guys who are really serious from those who just want to f**k you. This will work pretty much universally in SIN, ZRH or LDN.
I advocate a tougher 'no sex before marriage' approach to really sort the wheat from the chaff.

Same here!! This thread has become a bit like a virtual party...a few die-hards having their philisophical debates, one or two analysing the DVD collection, a bunch in the kitchen having a laugh, while a couple of love birds have snuck off to the bedroom to do the digital dirty...

Do you own a land? And most importantly, do you have independent view of the world?

But then after I check your profile, I'm afraid you're not qualified. We have established here that the perfect candidates for OG should be an Asian living in Asia
