Re: London vs Zurich

What is it with this thread posting business, keeps popping up on the lists of these lists of threads? What is it with all this text here, people typing and typing, going around and around. Why? Why must you post and why must I read them? FFS, why?

For the culture and the dating the choice would definitely have to be London. It has so much to offer

I feel Zurich may get boring after a prolonged period, as beautiful as it is. london however always has plenty of stuff to keep you busy and plenty of opportunities to meet new men!
Aren't you a few weeks late with this?

No no, not dying, but the Zürich Team, including me, is painfully aware that in a case of city-against-city contest, we have to hand in a "Forfeit" Declaration as London plays in the League of World Cities (CupLeague) while Zürich plays in the 2nd and 3rd league. Zürich gets up however if the surroundings (lakes, rivers, hills, mountains, old /ancient old towns) come into the equation.

Just imagine that Soho,Mayfair,Paddington,Bayswater/Queensway/NottingHillGate/ HollandPark/HigStreetKensington/SouthKensington/Chelsea/Elephant&Castle have more inhabitants than Zürich including outer Suburbs

Just imagine that Greater London has as many inhabitants as Switzerland including Elsass/Alsace and Vorarlberg combined

Small Zürich indeed still may be attractive and compete with London, but of course not with nightlife or Museums. No way, so sorry

London can leave contradictory impressions. When I arrived on 28th September 1972 for 3 months, the total fog, the light drizzle of rain, and the grey outlook of the buildings rather frustrated me, but then my love-affair with that great city started. When I had to leave in the evening of 22nd December, I however had to fight down the tears (knew that I was to return again and again) and luckily enough had planned in an overnight stay in Paris, which turned out as a very good idea, not least to cushion the reverse-culture-shock.

I think that it is a good decision, not least in view of the origin of OP, but also in view of the central Location of Zürich, within 3 hours by rail or car to München, Stuttgart, Strassburg, Colmar, Mülhausen, Geneva, Lugano and Milano

Either I've missed your point completely, or that's a pretty tasteless mock-up. Or both.

Would you mind explaining what the hot dogs and the 300 mean please? I know its an obtuse request. I'm not sure I get it. Maybe I do, but not sure.

The girl in the picture with the suggestively open mouth and closed eyes is, I assume, OfficeGirl, the hot dogs / sausages refers to how many sausages / guys on EF are prepared to throw their "sausages" at her face??

300 refers to Phil's self perception of his sausage size in pixels.

Anyway on a more serious note, having visited Singapore for the first time in March, I would say it doesn't matter where office girl goes, get the hell out of Singapore, nice place to visit but jeez would not want to live there!
