Re: Swiss Man worth pursuing? :/

Oh my goodness.

I do hope things work out for you, I still think you should have left him while you could, but I hope you prove me wrong.

Best wishes for the future to you and your baby.

I ended up going to CH last month, and I loved it. I met his family and I truly enjoyed my stay.
I am pregnant now, and have no idea what will happen.
Please keep me in your prayers.
Good that you enjoyed it, you didn't say why; have things gotten better between you and him?

Congratulations if the pregnancy is something you both wanted, hope he does right by his kid xxx

Did you visit him with the intention of getting pregnant?

How dare you asking her this question ...that you obviously know the answer to? And the answer is of course, yes.

People tell her to stay away from him. She says she will do so. Then she decides, after just few weeks, to come here and ...gets pregnant!

I get it, you love him and you want to give him a real chance and see exactly how things are. But you don't have to get pregnant. You can just come here, have som fun , see how things are , go back to Russia and think about it.
If you get pregnant, then you did so to keep him with you, which is kind of wrong. Why didn't you use contraception??

I do believe in love at first sight, love is everything and all kinds of juicy stories etc. But this one is the cherry on top.

Sounds like a soap opera or Telenovela (in the Spanish speaking countries).

But hey, who knows? Maybe they will get married, she stays here and they live happily ever after, and she is thinking she made the best decision of her life.

Re: Swiss Man worth pursuing? :/

All I can say is this,
I wish oral contraceptives didn't fail. I wish I would not have gotten pregnant.
I am a US citizen, my whole existence is in the US. This job in Russia is temporary. I do not live in CH. Can you imagine how stressed and torn I am about this situation?
Thank you to those who wish me good luck with my health and the baby. I don't require further advice regarding this Swiss Man because it is not my goal, not has it ever been, to tie him to me through this baby.

I thought I'd let the few of you who wrote me sincere advice know the outcome of the situation. And thank you to those who sent me individual messages as well.

All I can say is - adults can play any stupid games they want, I don't care, their choice (but children should never ever EVER be involved) - grrrr - NEVER.

Not sure if this is making me more angry than sad, or vice-versa, thinking about my own grand-children, sorry. Signing out, before I blow.

NEVER

Well, it's the 21st century and you do have the option, should you so choose, not to bring a child into this world in such awful circumstances...

Re: Swiss Man worth pursuing? :/

I'd really like to know how your visit went with him, Supernovagirl!

Your first post I have just re-read it and it's painful how obvious it is to an outsider that he was a player, he was using you, you loved him, it was completely unrequited!! Tragic reading because I've watched this happen to very close girlfriends and seen them get hurt!

You said you enjoyed your visit here last month, but didn't say why? it sounded so positive, but now you say you regret your pregnancy and are not going to pursue him, so it didn't work out then?

You should really talk this through with people not online. First of all your boyfriend/ex/"the Swiss man" (assuming here that you haven't already, sorry if I'm mistaken!) and secondly I think a close friend, particularly if you are considering bringing a child up on your own. If you really don't have any, you can message me I'll try to help but someone who knows you would be more ideal x

Hey, "i never met my dad" or "i never knew my dad" situations have been around since the beginning of time.

Being clever enough to get a job in Russia as an american citizen? Luckily the US daycare and school system is a lot more "working mother" friendly than the Swiss system.

If "all that she wants, is another baby" who are to get in the way?

The One Sperm that got away - he took that into consideration when he didn't take matters into... uh-hem.. into his own hands.

Oh, the twists and turns of time... *sigh...*

By the way, which of you men on the Forum have recently had a russian visit from an american girl?
