Where to buy safety shoes? ( for use in a professional kitchen)

Does anyone know where to go to buy safety shoes in Switzerland? Preferably in the Neuchâtel area.

Our son will be spending a week working in a professional kitchen in a couple of weeks time and has to wear safety shoes. The sort with reinforced toe caps. They don't have to be white but preferably should be closed in rather than the 'mule' type. We have tried the regular shoe shops which don't have them (despite the chef telling us that Vogele shoes have them) and my usual 'go to' place Landi. They did have some in Landi but they are really more for outdoor building type work so are rather big and bulky and the local Landi didn't have his size. If all else fails we will get them from another Landi but would really prefer a smaller alternative.

Anyone got any ideas?

I've seen trainer looking steel toecaps in Landi - you probably need a bigger store.
Have also seen in Aldi - but obviously a temporary offer and not permanently stocked - but worth a look if you have one nearby, or are going to one anyway.

Not exactly like these, but similar - but this is all they're showing on their site:

Not sure this is convenient, but lehner versand has all sorts of uniform type stuff. Another thought is to look for uniform supply places in your area.

I would look into it further, but I'm condone to my phone at the moment.

I am not sure of the coverage by this particular vendor, they may be limited to the German speaking region, but one should not assume too much, I guess.

http://www.schuhbus.ch

Basically just what it looks like, a mobile shoe shop. They have a safety shoe section on each one, toward the back, though it would be useful to call ahead.

What size? I have a pair (40 or 41) I never wear as I always forget to bring them to the site where I need them so use a pair that is available on site

Thanks they look ok for what he needs. I'll drag him along to the larger Landi after school tomorrow to have a look and try them on. We have to pass Aldi to get there so maybe I'll take a look there too.

They came up earlier in my searches and it is a possibility as they have several styles but I was hoping to find something he could try for size rather than ordering online. If we don't find something in the next couple if days we'll go for the online option.

Sadly not. I haven't found anywhere near enough to us that offers a delivery address option. If anyone knows if something in Morteau or Pontarlier I would be a very happy lady.

Thanks

Those look amazing. My German isn't great but my understanding is that they don't operate around here. I've certainly not seen anything like that before.

Thanks. I got that site too and will look into it if we find online to be the only viable option.

Thanks that really kind of you. Unfortunately unless I cut half his feet off they will be too small.
He takes a size 46.

Re: Where to buy safety shoes? ( for use in a professional kitchen)

Coop Brico has a model on sale (up to size 46) as of today.

Not sure what the reference S1P is vs. S2P and S3P. Hopefully this model has the steel toe and shank.

EDIT: It seems that the S1P should be ok since he will be working inside. Link to explain the S1P in FR: https://www.modyf.fr/normes/en-20345/s1p

Re: Where to buy safety shoes? ( for use in a professional kitchen)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
I dragged him along to the bigger Landi via Aldi ( who had nothing) last Wednesday afternoon. They had nothing in his size but the very helpful man in the brown coat ( who us present in all Landi stores) said he could get some in for us to try. We went back on Saturday and got him these for 24.95 chf.

If that had failed it was nice to know we had the Lehner store in Fribourg or COOP brick loisirs in Bienne as back up plans.

I was confused by the different classifications on the professional shoe site above but it seems the lowest level is all that's necessary for indoor use.

I learned that as well, seems in our plants only the steel capped ones are allowed. Never knew that there is such a difference in those shoes

Happy to hear you got them!
