How did you find your club?
the city of Zürich website should have a list of clubs by area of interest and activity, at least that's how I found mine.

Re: Experiences with Vereins / Clubs

I used to hang out at the local motorcycle shop 50m from where I lived after work and help out.

Still in touch with some of those guys nearly 30 years on.

Re: Experiences with Vereins / Clubs

How did I find my club ? I just googled the name of the village and 'Musikverein'. You can check the local newspaper too, there is a calendar with the days of rehearsal of several Vereins. They also advertise for their activities and invite newcomers.
And then there is a local calendar which we receive yearly, with all the names and adresses of the several local Vereins, together with informations about schools, trash collection etc. Perhaps you can check with your Gemeinde.
And then there was an invitation for all the newcomers in the Gemeinde, a reception, and local Vereins could come and introduce themselves to the newcomers. We had a demonstration of the local Jodelclub.
