Out for a run this afternoon and ended up heading down from Forch to Ebmatingen on an uncleared path. About halfway along I came across one of those small gemeinde snowploughs - stuck!!!
Ploughing up the hill he had slipped off to the uphill side of the cambered path. Chunky winter tyres but RWD had it stuck fast. First up clearing the snow around the "mid-engine" and the rear diff. With full lock, me pushing from the front, much throttle, and plenty of rock we got it back a few metres.
By now the cab was more in the "off-piste" snow, and the uphill side rear had sunk further into the snow. With the only path wheel spinning up there was only one choice. Climb in the back of the flat bed - and jump up and down on the spinning wheel. Jump by jump the rear wheel bit on the cleared path and started hauling the plough out.
Finally, after a second clearing of the snow around the rear diff - and off piste rear tyre, and with much jumping from me as far back as I could go it was out.
I jumped down as the young guy in the cab jumped out wallet in hand. I waved it away and carried on my merry way happy having accrued something in the Karma bank.
