Every day is Valentine's day over here! Every day I open my eyes, look at the Mr., and think I am so lucky to have him in my life!

On a serious note, forget Valentine's, it's Carnival!!!!
We are going to a Carnival costume party at the Italian House here in the District - i.e. we'll eat too much, party too hard, and be slightly tipsy* by Sunday morning. Sounds like a great (Valentine's day) plan to me.

*pi$$ drunk
Just don't forget to take one (or two) pill of Ibuprofen before going to bed, even if you don't have any headache yet.

Me, I hate to get drunk because of the next day... so I'm staying out of this kind of parties. I know, I'm such a bore.

Driving to the Alps to join adult 'children, grand-children and friends for half-term hols- probably babysitting whilst the parents go off for a well-deserved jolly. Hurrah. Our 44th Valentine's day- so that's ok.

I take it you and Dan go onto another level in your relationship? (With a bit of help from your friendly McDonalds)
Dan and I have been friends, in the sense of good buddies, for years. The friendly McDonalds evening goes easily into our shared history, along with outings with his kids, visiting each other in hospital, lazy Sunday afternoon barbeques, etc. A really nice person, just like that, and no “other level” needed.

I got a free Lindt chocolate from Coop today.

That's probably my lot. I got hubby a card, a heart shaped cake and some fizz. (Prosecco not Champagne )

Same here: cake and fizz. I'm 100% he'll get me flowers (he really knows me ) and probably something else...now that will be a surprise.
The weekend will be otherwise not very different than other weekends.

My husband and I don't celebrate but I make the day special for our daughters. Heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, red velvet cake, and a surprise.

Want to borrow my hubby for the weekend? He thinks it's a big thing, while I couldn't care less...

He even managed to propose on a Valentine's Day, hard to be tackier than that!
