The books were sort of funny, especially the second one, even if it was so badly written it made me cringe at times. But the movie???? Only the girly rose-tinted silly stuff are soft enough to be in the movie...
I can't manage to finish the first one. I am not at the half of the book yet. It is soooo boring! I think Arlequin does better.

Re: What you doing for valentines day?

There's this, in a church in Zurich, today:

http://www.predigerkirche.ch/dl/2015...dienst.pdf.pdf

It is a church service to bless loving couples, any and every couple, irrespective of how hetero, homo, or patchwork the couple's love is.

What are you doing for valentine's day?

Nice that you ask. I'll be....
dusting balls and bits and making people smile.

Sending the magic of love to all. May you feel it in your hearts and radiate it in your actions.
The mind boggles

And right back at you!

Amazing is the close co-operation of Predigerkirche & StJakobs-Kirche, almost as much as the one between the Altkatholische/Christkatholische Kirche and the Anglican Church

Re: What you doing for valentines day?

Quick, everyone - whilst you still can ...... get yourselves to Aldi and pick up a pack of sushi in a heart shaped plastic outer, for only 6,99.

I wondered how long it would be before a commercial venture cottoned on to what I've known for years ...... that sushi is the most romantic gift to give - much more so than boring old flowers or choccys.

Re: What you doing for valentines day?

Treated to Z`nuni this morning - Capuccino and Gipfeli - in a German restaurant - staff were decked out in "Biker gear with chains and fake tatoos" for their Fassnacht.
Well .... it was a "treat" .... on the way back from buying more tile adhesive for what O/H is working on at moment.

Lol. If my OH bought me sushi he'd mist likely be wearing it soon afterwards as I can't stand the stuff.
He knows better than to buy me chocolates either as I don't really like those either.

He did go out to do the shopping this morning and brought back a lovely bunch of roses so now I'm wondering what he's been up to that I don't know about.

Re: What you doing for valentines day?

I made heart-shaped muffins for dessert last night and homemade quiches for breakfast. Along with our usual haul of 50% off items we got a 500g veal fillet for just 10 Francs. Dinner!

Coop had already either sold or pulled all the Valentine's chocolates, not that I care. They had the flowers still on display but not marked down. Meh. We walked right past.

Allright, I take back everything I said. I got a falafel at the doner place in town and an ice cream from the gas station.

Re: What you doing for valentines day?

…worked and screened peoples rotten adverts for eight and a half hours, the freaks were out in force today, one persistent bugger constantly placed ads where he wanted to lick women's dirty feet clean and actually described how dirty they had to be, (you don't wanna know, honestly, paid well though..!
