Re: Where Can I Find 'Petite' Sized Clothing?

Have you tried "Zebra" ? I know it doesn't look so appealing from the outside but there are lots of cute things when you search. I am also short (1.56cm) and face the same issue all the time; the last time I visited Zebra I was pleasantly surprised with the length of their jeans/leggings & they have a big variety!

Re: Where Can I Find 'Petite' Sized Clothing?

I'm surprised cause I'm on the taller side (well, not THAT tall, but 1.72m), but slim and never find anything that fits me, especially in length. From that, I would have concluded that shorter women have it easy, but apparently not

I can tell you that at least all pants from pretty much every standard chain are too short for me, so try your luck at H&M, Orsay and Vero Moda

Tally Weijl is very much a store for young girls, so if you're older than 25 or so, you might not like it - but give it a chance as it actually has a petite section (in larger stores) and if you make your way past the pink glitter crap, you might just find a few basic things. I bought a jeans there once, must be at least 7 years ago, still in perfect condition though I wear it quite a lot.

Zebra isn't as bad as Tally Weijl, at least some of the time, might need to try it out a few times.

Also might want to try out Mango, if I remember correctly, they have at least pants in short versions.

Btw, I've been buying online from overseas on a pretty regular basis for over 10 years and hardly ever had to pay a customs fee

I don't think I've ever seen a Zebra store - is it a chain store or a stand-alone boutique? Thanks for your suggestion though

He he I'm very much over the age of 25 but not ready for 'old lady' clothes or the kind of clothes found in C&A lol!

Yes, the glittery stuff doesn't appeal at all as I don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb

I'm not familiar with 'Orsay' (is it a shop or a brand) and I think there may be a Vero Moda in Zug? I've almost given up shopping locally for anything other than tops and walk past so many clothes shops in Zug without going in any more, it's too disappointing or just too expensive.

Sadly, I know that ordering any trousers/jeans online will just mean that they will almost certainly have to be returned....I've spent hours in shopping malls and centres in the US and UK trying on dozens of pairs of trousers/pants/jeans before I can find anything which fits properly.

I'm so jealous of my best friend who is a 'fit model' and everything looks fabulous on her!

Thank you for your suggestions

Thank you to everyone for all of your suggestions.

I'm grateful for the link to minuet-petite; I now refuse to order items from overseas to be delivered here as I had to pay a hefty customs charge for a gift which was sent to me (it sure took the shine off the gift... ) However, I guess I could order some things to be delivered to my mum in England and she can keep them until the next time we see each other.

PS. Tom Tailor doesn't have trousers in a short length (certainly not in Zugerland or Manor in Zug); I did ask an assistant but I was told that they don't have them.

I'm afraid that I have to avoid the 'teen' and 'kids' sections in stores....I may be petite in height but I'm not super-skinny - I have a womanly/hourglass shape, unfortunately!
Have you tried Gerry Weber, Vögele? Vögele sells many brands and I've seen all sort of sizes.
As for Tom Tailor, the shortest size for inner leg length is 30 if I recall correctly. I'm buying regular length usually so maybe that's why I don't have many problems.

Re: Where Can I Find 'Petite' Sized Clothing?

I always find it a challenge to find trousers, and although I insisted on going hiking in my lacey dresses as a child (my Dad has photos to prove it) before the weather is warm enough for skorts, I like to garden and hike and cycle etc. in trousers. Most do...so when I find some that fit I buy a pair in each colour and save the replacement agony.

I've just found a new brand that FITS my legs and my waist, in the same pair

http://kuhl.com

I'm not sure where they are stocked, but if anyone traveling to US they are online. I bought mine half-price before xmas at an outdoors shop in Stockholm - the guy looked at me a bit oddly because I must have emerged from the changing room with an enormous grin - trousers that fit
