Waste disposal ;sinkerator or similar

I haven't seen any installed In CH of EU for that matter. I understand from YouTube they are not allowed in some German towns.

Anyone got one or know if they are allowed?

Re: Waste disposal ;sinkerator or similar

My friend Hans-Ueli keeps an alligator in the space under the sink which serves a similar purpose while avoiding the ire of the local sewage treatment authority.

Suitable reptiles may be purchased here: http://www.reptilien-zoo.ch/default.asp?id=2&mnu=2

They're illegal here.

There have been a few threads on here in the past about them but you'll have to look yourself.

It appears that these are normally prohibited in Switzerland:

Before the alligator gets too large, he should be advised to flush it down the toilet and get a smaller replacement. The alligators end up in the sewers and feed off the rats, and generally assist in maintaining order down there:

Well, it was an obvious connection to make. In fact, in the '50s, Bill Haley and his Comets release a song "See You Later, Sinkerator" paying tribute the valuable services performed by the under-the-sink alligators.
