just what is the returns policy of shops anyway? huh?

hello ef!

maybe someone can help me with a heads-up of the returns policy of shops in canton Zurich, specifically interdiscount. I bought a computer netbook about 11 days ago and want to take it back because it's so verrrrrrrrrry sloooooooooow. it's a Celeron processor and ha ha ha enough said. saying that though, it has issues: the screen sticks like twice a day min and I have to turn it off at the power button which can't be good for it.

thusly my query is two-fold: can I take it back just because I don't like it? is that a thing I can do?
or is the only claim I've got re the sticky screen and we all know what'll happen then: they will 'take it into repair' and then five weeks later give me it back in the same condition and keep doing that back and forth until my guarantee runs out?

I didn't know the implications all those days ago! in fact as is standard, I didn't know shit. I asked the guy if it's slow and he said no it'll be fine if you want to do this and then described a lovely scene in which I watched you tube, did stuff on ms word, listened to music and wrote to english forum telling them how great my new computer is.

Usually electronic stores have a return policy, it could be anywhere from 1 week to one month. If I were you I would go there tomorrow with the lap top and the original packaging and most impanttly the receipt of purchase. And ask for store credit, they almost never give cash refunds.
