Le Bouveret activities

Hi folks

I'm looking for a nice activity for this weekend for the family (wife, me and 2 kids aged 2 & 5)

I narrowed it down to below 2:

- Swiss Vapeur Parc (http://www.swissvapeur.ch/en/)

or

- Aquaparc (http://www.aquaparc.ch/en)

Obviously it will depend a bit on the weather but I was hoping that some of you have already been to either of those (or both) and want to share the experience!

Ciao!

Re: Le Bouveret activities

I've only done the chuff-chuffs, but my girls have done both - but they were older than yours.

They probably had the most excitable fun at the pools, but did enjoy the trains, too.

Probably judging by the ages, and time of year/weather (use of outdoor pools at Aquapark), the Vapeurpark option may be the best choice - but I can't comment, for certain, how much there is for 2yr. old to do at Aquapark, either.

Vapeur parc. your children are a bit young for the full fun of the aquaparc. They will love the vapeur parc as well as its perfect for the very young.

I second the advice on the Swiss vapeur park. We've been there quite a few times, and it's lovely. Your kids will have a great time, and so will you.

Re: Le Bouveret activities

by the way, if your looking for a great place for kids and water, go up to Berne, where there is Berne Aqua. This is a set of about 7 pools kids can go in, has water slides for older ones and most importantly all the pools are really warm so they dont get cold. In the Bouveret waterparc a two year old is freezing after an hour or so, but in Bern Aqua our lot, who are all under 4 can happily paddle around for hours and still have a screaming fit when we tell them its time to leave.

Its really worth it, take a look.

Re: Le Bouveret activities

We've just been to Vapeur and had a blast. I don't think it's just because we love trains in general so much..the place is really neat, well taken care of and full of amazing teens who work there.

(Bernaqua is another of our favs, expensive but great wet fun).

As per 2yr olds..maybe something more simple, Signal de Bougy is great, since I can see a 2yr old getting antsy after a while of sitting still on a train or waiting for a train to pass. On the other hand Vapeur was really full of little kids, especially the pick-nicking area.
