Inalpes versus Desalpes

For those who have been to both, have you noticed a difference in these two festivities?

Inalpes celebrates the cows going into the alps and traditionally, it would mark the beginning of a few lonely and hardworking months for the cheesemaker. (Not sure if there is wifi up in the alpine huts now)

Desalpes is a moment of happy reunification of the farmers and their family. But also signaling the beginning of the cold season.

Has anyone notice a difference in ambiance or in how the two celebrations are carried out? In the particular event you attended, did you feel that it was still significantly a fete for the locals or was it more for the tourists?
