Daily tips

I have found that families being spread around different countries or places tend to miss out on tips & experience passed down through the generations. Now we are likely to have Facebook or public media giving us info or programs on tv.

For instance, my MIL told me how to clean tea cups easily that don't come out the washing machine "clean" or stained, by putting some salt in the cup & rubbing it with your finger or a sponge. It works. Don't know why I never knew that before.

Have you got any tips that were passed down to you?

Tip. Change the powder/tabs that you put in the dishwasher. I use the tabs from the Denner. I am a PG tips drinker and they come out squeaky clean.

Re: Daily tips

That depends on the dishwasher. We had a Miele before which was excellent but now we have a Siemens & there is a marked difference in the quality of the wash. Tea is Typhoo.

Re: Daily tips

Some of us don't have a dishwasher.

So, thanks for the tip for the tea stains.

Re: Daily tips

PG Tips taste better than Daily Tips.

Drink plenty of water.

Don't leave electrical appliances on standby.

Re: Daily tips

- Always leave your pork roast rest 15 minutes in the oven after cooking time.
- Pour salt and water straight away on a red wine stain.
- Apply vinegar on a wasp or bee sting, it really works.
