oerlikon 30minutes ago

Hello guys!
Just came back home from Oerlikon where I had a pretty scary experience!
It was full of people and police and suddenly someone started shooting with a gun (but I am not sure if it was a real one) and people start screaming and running. And then a car crossed the street really fast. And after a while two other cars with people inside holding flags (I didn't recognize the flag) and shouting. As far as I saw the police did nothing and that is quite strange.
Really crazy and scary minutes...
Does anybody know what were all these about?
Thank you!

Apparently the incident is connected with the football match of Serbia vs. Albania. Some guy was shooting with a gas pistol...

According to the article the police had to use water cannons and riot guns.

EDIT: If you have seen something related to the guy shooting, you might want to contact the police. They might be looking for witnesses.

Re: oerlikon 30minutes ago

I am not too amazed. Albanians and Serbians fighting, throwing rocks and bottles at police, kicking cars, after a televised football match between their two countries. Normal, I`d say?

Or am I just being a discriminating peddler of false media propaganda? I read that in the above links, so maybe its not true at all?

Quite a sad sight in Oerlikon yesterday - marauding bands of utter scum roaming the streets armed with bottles, stones and clubs..
Them hunting down individuals and screaming "kill him, kill him!" certainly didn't improve matters... at one point I saw a group of about 20-30 people who beat down on one or two loners.
And no - I did not intervene, I am not suicidal...

Just, wow...! And not in a good way..

Savages, both the serbs and albanians. I'd deport them back home, if they are such patriots.

Well, to be fair it's not limited to Albanians and Serbs. Recently there was this incident between Kurds and Turks in Bern. I guess there are idiots in every country...

Someone flying a drone with an Albanian flag over the pitch in the same fixture in Belgrade last year probably didn't help matters much.

Apsolutelly agree . I was also yesterday in oerlikon and i saw a several cars with Albanian flags full of angree looking guys shouting Kill Serbs waiving handguns and they sound prety real to me. Switzerland is gonna have a lot of problems with Albanians in the next few years(every one i know personaly is somehow connected to some criminal activity). I know that to the average swiss man or englishman this look like a clash of some barberians but those two nation have nothing in common actually exept the same part of europe they are located in. The Serbs are one of the oldest European ortodox Christian nation and Albanians are the extreme wing of muslims and there is a no way you can treat them the same way. The situation is getting hectick and european politicians or the UN is doing nothing to stop that,in fact i feel like they are trying to instigate a incidents on every occation they get(like on sport matches which is insane to me). Just wanted to say my oppinion since everybody today is speaking about this football game. BY the way who won in that match?

Switzerland gave asylum to lots of Kosovari during the war in Yugoslavia, and while there WERE Problems it was not as extreme as you forecast

I know lots of Kosovari and Serbs and None is involved in crime

Many Albanians/Kosovari are Christians, some Orthodox like the Serbs and some Roman-Catholics like the Croatians

The Albanian Muslims generally are rather on the mild side, and not extremists

You rather should stop spreading extreme Propaganda and to talk as if you spoke fluentlly Shkipetar

You sure, everything went to pots and pans after that, say what you want but Saddam and Gadaffi both had progressive secular states with the religious nutters in check.

While Iraq indeed was a secularist country, Libya under the Colonel was NOT
