Shipping to Switzerland Fedex or EMS

I am about to get an rather expensive item (3000 CHF) shipped to Switzerland. So far I can choose between Fedex or EMS (Swiss postal service).

From the below two sources, it seems that Swiss postal service will charge me 70 CHF maximum for custom clearance, whereas Fedex will charge 75 CHF just in advancement fee and then I might get some extra fees on top.

Is that correctly understood?

Thanks in advance.

PS.
This is my first time receiving shipments in Switzerland, as I recently moved here.

Re: Shipping to Switzerland Fedex or EMS

I would go with Fedex because they will push it through customs whereas if it's the Swiss post it could get stuck.

EMS, comes via post but very quickly. I have received equipment in the 1-5000 range & never an issue. If your based in ZH it can be picked up at the post office by ZHB up to 22.00, rather than your local post office. FedEx are also good but have very limit hours to collect if not at home when it's delivered.

I always choose EMS. From Kyoto to my door in 3 days.
