Paris Hilton...

welcome to Schwyz! (http://www.20min.ch/people/internati...zerin-15275780)

The nearest larger super market is the Coop in Richterswil and the best value for money is the LIDL in Waedenswil... but note that both are in a different Kanton, so you cannot use the trash bags from there but need to buy them in your village shop. Your welcome!

Surely she'd be closer to Seedam centre and the Lidl at Altendorf. Same Kanton but different Gemeinden so she'd still have the bag problem.

She's not Swiss yet. She's just moved in with her boyfriend.

There's a decent view from their flat - apart from all the cranes - but I wouldn't want to live there. The locals are a right miserable bunch.

From Schindellegi? No. The Richterswil Coop is way closer than the Seedamm center. (let alone getting in and out of there...)

The Aldi in Feusisberg is way closer than either of those. And equally unlikely to see her.

You all are thinking like the Swiss. She's American. Two or three dozen miles are "around the corner."

Re: Paris Hilton...

I was more touched by news about death of the North Face's and Espirit's co-founder Douglas Tompkins:

North Face's Douglas Tompkins dies in Chile kayak accident

However Paris's Hilton shopping dilemma and bags might be another beast

The Halbtax card would set you back a fifth of a Manolo Blahnik. There's a guy here on EF who can help with advice on how to dodge train fares, although he's been a bit lost recently.

Re: Paris Hilton...

When I was staying in hospital here in ZH, my lovely room mate was a Swiss mom from Schindellegi. She asked whether I know where that is, and I shook my head . Then, apparently the lady of the Swiss bachelorette comes from Schindeleggi. She pointed that out to me. I bet now she'd have something more to tell about the place

Re: Paris Hilton...

Seedamm, Altendorf, Richterseil... y'all are making Ms Hilton's life much too complicated.

Rubbish bags are easily picked up at the Spar and the Post, right in town just a hop, skip, and a jump from her villa. And the Spar even stays open over the lunch hour. (For better or worse, Schindellegi has entered the modern era.) And while she is out shopping she can get the best t-bone in Switzerland at Ochsner Metzgerei next to the Spar.

She'll feel right at home.

Only trouble I see is that the Fuchs Helipad is a a bit of a hike.
