Cheap and intensive don't go together you know. Have you looked down in the Language section of the forum, plenty of suggestions there I would think.

..... and not much comes cheaper than Migros Klubschule.

The only other possible cheaper option is a pick-up joint and 'befriend' a native ...... although that could well work out more expensive in the long run.

Re: German Intensive course in Bern

I grabbed rosetta stone and did as much as I can so far and now have too many questions left unanswered so I am also going to be looking for intensive courses here in Bern area. I heard Migros are super slow moving though too. So if you have been here for a while or know some basics I have read its good to find the right school (they usually always give you a little entrance exam I was told too).

Will be following this thread to see what you find that may be good here.

Re: German Intensive course in Bern

Duolingo online may be useful. Babbel is another, but you do have to pay for that one iirc.

Re: German Intensive course in Bern

I tried to start a German conversation group in Bern, one evening a week, in the Coop restaurant. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but very few people came, and in the end I gave up.

Is that something for you to organise, and get people speaking in German?
