My family and I will celebrate Christmas early this year, in order for us to all be together, so I'd like to get into the Christmas spirit already and decorate my home and get a Christmas Tree -- however I cannot find one large enough anywhere!

I have tried the Migros at Kreuzplatz (but they are too small), as well as www.stadt-zuerich.ch/frischbaum (but they don't have any till mid Dec) and www.angermann-baum.ch.

I don't have a car, so ideally I need to find a tree-seller someone in Zurich city, close to tram connections, or not too far a walk from Seefeld.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be wonderful!

I tried Googling 'Weihnachtsbaum selber schneiden' and came up with this place in Ast, Berg in the triangle between Weinfelden, Kreuzlingen and Romanshorn in north eastern Switzerland. It might be worth trying Googling the same words again slightly nearer Christmas to see what comes up.

Please can anyone recommend a good place to buy a Christmas tree in canton Schwyz? Or are you allowed to go out and just chop your own?!!

1. No, you are not allowed to cut your own. You will be fined if caught (so do it in the dark)
2. All the major department stores will be selling Christmas trees soon. Most people put up their trees a few days or on Dec. 24, which is why you won't see many trees for sell yet.

Such a shame! We fly on the 24th and I wanted to have a tree for a few weeks before we leave. There is nothing like that wonderful pine smell!

Buying a tree before the 24th will be no problem. We get ours one week before the 24th.

I buy that Pine Oil stuff one burns in the ceramic thingy someone passed on as a present in some past gift giving tradition.
Just be careful when you fill the thingy - when you light the candle below, the spilled oil also ignites causing an unpleasant sensation for the remainder of the evening.
Also, cost and relatively environmentally friendly.

I've done the usual google search and search on the forum but can't find an answer to this question. Does anyone know where there is a Christmas Tree farm in or near Männedorf?

I think there could be a very small one opposite the Widenbad restaurant. I'm not 100% sure, but think I recall seeing one there.

The plug on my LED tree died this week and now I need to find another LED tree. I was going to try Zugerland on monday but wondered if there are any places online that I could get one.
