When cooking it, I find the consistency is a bit different than the standard pasta.
The whole wheat is not as soft. It also seems more resistent to getting soggy if overcoooked.

In summer cold pasta salads can be a nice change from warm pasta dishes. I have not tried my classic pasta salad recipe which I make with spirals or tubes with whole wheat pasta but I probably should.

you can add
- butter
- soy sauce
- olive oil
- angostura

Re: Wholewheat pasta

I'm sure you can find this specific brownish colour of pasta in Migros and Coop. It's nearly as easy to be found as brown sugar can be, provided that one knows in which aisle to look for it. I always buy my "Vollkorn Sapghetti" from Kaufland for €0.49 a packet.

Not that I know of ... Just enjoy liberty of cross-border shopping and usually buy several packets that last me weeks.

Re: Wholewheat pasta

This whole wheat pasta isn't much good for glycemic index, at least not great for a diabetic, and if anybody doesn't like brown rice, there is black rice, great for GI

Not what the OP was asking about. Wholewheat is not a typo. Means pasta made with the whole grain including the bran layer.

The Coop in Sihlcity Nord is the biggest one I have found. They have many different kinds of pasta including whole wheat, tomato and spinach

Food of the devil, feels like eating sand.
Try cooking before eating.

I've found a little hot water can work wonders.

Coop, Migros and Denner all have a wholewheat range. Health food stores also have a range.
