Motoway crossing for stamp near Basel

I need to go through motorway border crossing for a stamp. Can you please give me a location so I can enter on GPS or else directions from Basel Stadt or Weil am Rhein? GPS location is best because I may be trying to access it from Freiburg also.

What kind of stamp? You need directions to a post office or is it customs stamp on a form? Can you be a bit more specific?

Why not try googling it?

Well if you like , but it's taken me a few times of reading his post to figure out what he means, and why he can't figure it out via Google maps.

Find current location, find border crossing, plot route. Google will even do "directions" for you.

Now I understand he's looking for a customs stamp rather than a postage stamp but the original post is not exactly clear.

Yeah I was taking the Mickey out of him, not you. It's common saying from people unaware/incapable/unwilling to do a bit of work for themselves.

I'd guess maybe he wants to get an export stamp or somesuch for his car. Drive south on the motorway from Germany. You'll likely need to go into the big building on the right, not the small offices for VAT refund stamps.

Re: Motoway crossing for stamp near Basel

I tried google. no help. i just wanted to know which exit to take. thanks for the help. i assumed referring to border cross and a stamp would be enough and could not possibly be inferred to mean i was trying to post a letter.

God forbid that you would try to help others to help you by being clear in the first place. That would be so unreasonable, wouldn't it.

It's not as though there are hundreds of motorway border crossings near Basel.

You must be someone who has difficulty with what others consider normal day to day tasks so I'll help you out. I just googled and i get this, which has a map and directions (which are incorrect.)

There's no "exit" off the motorway as such for customs. It's more or less where Germany and Switzerland meet. It'll make a difference which kind of stamp you want as to where you go, but you can ask and they'll tell you.

Re: Motoway crossing for stamp near Basel

What the hell do you need?
A Swiss stamp, a German stamp, a French Stamp, an EU Stamp?
Commercial or Private/Tourist? (Lot of houshold goods/moving is considered commercial ! So is importiang a car)
Do you want a non-busy crossing off the Autobahn or do your prefer to stay on the Autobahn?
