Charity shops?

Could anyone tell me if there are any charity shops around Zug or Affoltern am Albis. We had a serious clear out after our stuff arrived, and Mama Goose found a heap of clothes (some still with tags) that don't fit.

Re: Charity shops?

Near the station there is a Krebsliga shop but I don't know if they take old stuff or how they operate but it might be a starting point.

Thanks for that, after watching the number of tags going in the bag do you think they'll take Mama Goose

Probably not. Sounds like she's less into fund-raising than fund-spending...

Re: Charity shops?

There's a Salvation Army kind of shop (HeilsArmy or something like it; hope I didn't spell it all wrong) along Zugerstrasse in Cham, quite near Power Movie and a butcher's.

(Hey, what size are the 'wrong sizes'? Maybe I can buy a couple off you.)

That's closer than Zurich, and I'm in Zug every day so sounds nice and easy. From memory the Mama Goose stuff is size 12 or 14, my stuff was suits and trs some of which were only worn a couple of times and size 40 9ish, but there was allsort in there.

Re: Charity shops?

Why not organise a clothes swap event???? Also a way of meeting new people. And everyone comes away with something new.

Re: Charity shops?

Does anyone know if there are any in the Luzerne area. I love second hand clothing shops and worried that Switzerland does not have many?

Re: Charity shops?

Much to my surprise, Googling 'Second Hand Luzern', brings a few addresses up. Have a look!

Re: Charity shops?

Took some stuff into the HeilsArmy in Cham (on Zugerstrasse), some was brand new some old and they where happy to take it all. They do allsorts in there not just clothes ,and it's big. The shop is dead easy to find and you can park round the back and take your stuff straight in.
