Marks and Spencer in Geneva

There is a Marks and Spencer in Geneva but I have never visited it. Does anyone use it, what's it like - does it have food and clothes like a store in England and how big is it? Thanks.

Re: Marks and Spencer in Geneva

The M&S in Geneva is very small.
Basic underwear, some clothes, very preppie. No food.
Went there once, wouldn't bother again.

I can echo that. The M&S store in Geneva is nothing like the stores in the UK. I visited it ONCE

Thank's. That's useful. There are M&S stores in Poland and the Czech Republic too. I wonder if they are also just clothes.

Re: Marks and Spencer in Geneva

I was in the M&S in Prague 1 month ago. It was reasonably big for clothes, had a smallish food section with all the essentials you would need, but no fresh foods.

Re: Marks and Spencer in Geneva

back in Geneva.. when it first opened I went there a few times for clothes for myself.. menswear that is.. and they had a fair selection. I was there about a month ago and it was absolute crap.. just down to Tshirts and pants pretty much.

Re: Marks and Spencer in Geneva

There is a M&S in Strasbourg that is very good (so much better than the Geneva one). Perhaps this is closer to you, I see you have a Black Forest location in the profile.

Regards, D

Whoops - Sorry. It was about 7 years ago that I visited it - hope it was not my custom that caused the closure !!

Re: Marks and Spencer in Geneva

M&S have started delivering to France & Germany from the UK website - they don't know if there is enough demand to deliver to Switzerland (I mailed and asked when they would send orders here....)

Re: Marks and Spencer in Geneva

There is actually a chain of fashion stores called M&S in France, alas they don't sell scones and cotton briefs.

Re: Marks and Spencer in Geneva

Is that the same as the M&S Mode chain in holland?

Marks and Spencers pulled their heads in about 7 years ago when they were struggling. They shut down most of their non UK stores.
