I thought id post this here, after reading a lot of comments about the swiss system. We ( Wife and I ) have just spent the day registering with the local authorities and opening a bank account. And ive just got to say what a pleasant experience. Yes there were countless forms to fill in and sign, but we were welcomed warmly and spoken to in English by extremely friendly and helpfull people. It may have taken us two hours to open a bank account, then again we got what we came for and the staff were very helpfull and chatty. The same applies to the local authorities registration , we even got a welcome to Switzerland pack, all in English and full of helpfull information. So good on you Swiss , i for one am going to like it here if our first official experience was anything to go by. Oh and by the way Migros in Glattbrugg sells cheddar cheese and Baked beans WooHoo

.... me is a happy chappy ... ok so ive simple tastes ..
